Langkawi Cable Car, also known as Langkawi SkyCab, is located on the Southwest coast of the island, which is approximately 15 minutes drive from the airport and 45 minutes from The Andaman Resort. It is the number ONE attraction in Langkawi and also THE ONLY thing that managed to entice our family to step out of the comforts of our luxurious resort ! And what can I say... my little one has an obsession with all things cable car . The entrance to the cable car station is at the Oriental Village , located at the foothill of Machinchang mountain. This is where the ticket counter is located, as well as a few other attractions, some restaurants and food courts, and small shops. There are a few restaurants serving local and international food, but we chose to eat at the food court as we wanted to have a quick meal. Fortunately, the food served here was freshly-cooked, delicious and good value.   I have no idea why the little one was so engrossed studying the menu! :P

Our theme for this Christmas is RED AND GOLD. I'm not such a big fan of red, but the kids have been asking me to do red for years... And I figured it is such a classic colour associated with Christmas that I just had to oblige.  I didn't want to do a full-on red so I added some gold decorations from previous years .  The highlight is always the Christmas tree - placed right in front of our front door.  I love setting up the tree... taking my time adding layer by layer and looking at how it slowly comes together.  I always start with the big items like ribbons, flowers, twigs and branches, then the kids would end off with the balls in various sizes.  The gold star topper is from many years back. Unfortunately I couldn't find any large red topper that I liked so I had to make do with what I have.  This butterfly has been making an appearance year after year. I just love it!  All lighted up and so sparkly at

Our Executive Pool Suite was clean, comfortable and massive. A king bed on one side, and separated by double doors was a large sofa bed that managed to fit 2 of my boys. BUT the biggest bonus of the room has to be our own private PLUNGE POOL! The boys never got tired of jumping and playing in the pool.
