Stir Fry Bell Peppers and Red Onion recipe
These colourful bell peppers are great as a side dish to your meats, or toss into your pastas and salads. They are wonderfully crunchy, flavoursome and healthy.
Stir-frying the peppers over high heat gives them a lovely caramelised, charred flavour, much like being roasted, but in much less time!
Stir Fry Bell Peppers and Red Onion
Ingredients:
1 green pepper
1 red pepper
1 red onion
3 cloves garlic
salt
pepper
1 tbsp. light soy sauce
1 tbsp. balsamic vinegar
Instructions:
- Mince garlic, slice peppers and red onion thinly
- In a wok, heat cooking oil over high heat, add the garlic and onion, cook until translucent
- Add the peppers, season with salt, pepper and light soy sauce
- Continue stir frying over high heat for about 5 minutes, until vegetables are done
- Add vinegar and combine
- Serve warm
