Stir Fry Bell Peppers and Red Onion recipe





These colourful bell peppers are great as a side dish to your meats, or toss into your pastas and salads. They are wonderfully crunchy, flavoursome and healthy.

Stir-frying the peppers over high heat gives them a lovely caramelised, charred flavour, much like being roasted, but in much less time!


Stir Fry Bell Peppers and Red Onion

Ingredients:

1 green pepper
1 red pepper
1 red onion
3 cloves garlic
salt
pepper
1 tbsp. light soy sauce
1 tbsp. balsamic vinegar


Instructions:
  1. Mince garlic, slice peppers and red onion thinly
  2. In a wok, heat cooking oil over high heat, add the garlic and onion, cook until translucent
  3. Add the peppers, season with salt, pepper and light soy sauce
  4. Continue stir frying over high heat for about 5 minutes, until vegetables are done
  5. Add vinegar and combine
  6. Serve warm
