Some Flowers - Orchids

Christmas is really my favourite time of the year - I like the festivities and the bright lights and beautiful decorations all around me. We blare out Christmas music at home. We feel more relaxed and joyful. We have time to go on holidays and have fun adventures with the kids. I have time to cook at home and make some art with the boys. There's no stress of work or school. It is just a wonderful long break for all of us.

And it's the perfect time to spruce up our little house, getting ready for the new year. Somehow we only manage to get the house organized and primped near to special occasions.  We've been meaning to get some orchids for our planter for months, but never got round to doing it, until now!

I fell in love with these unique orchid colours when I saw them! 💚

Our white orchids that we've had for over 2 years are still growing strong.

I also got these cute purple hanging orchids. They look so delicate... I hope they are easy to look after.

Our 2 boys also insisted on getting a plant each. One of them chose the aloe vera plant as he said he wanted to experiment with the juice and see what he could do with it 😉

The other chose this little plant that is on a wooden log to put in his room.
